Pritam used to work in a software company in Bangalore, he got that job after putting in a lot of hard work and efforts, along with all this, his childhood was spent amidst many troubles. His parents were labourers, barely able to collect enough money to feed themselves. Pritam worked hard to succeed, first in the tenth grade, twelfth grade and then the IIT exams which are considered to be one of the toughest examinations in the country. After all this, he got a job in a very renowned company with a pretty decent salary. Once, while working in the office, he left very late from the office, many hotels were closed, Pritam was indeed very hungry. He only noticed that there was a dhaba near the highway, this dhaba seemed a bit old but Pritam had no other option but to eat from there as it was a late night. He thought that he should have his dinner at the dhaba itself. When he reached the dhaba, he kept his luggage on the table and called the waiter, a child of about seven years came on his request. Pritam was surprised to see such a small child; the condition of the child’s clothes was also horrible. The child had worn a shirt, the buttons of that shirt were also broken from the middle, and the shirt was torn from the shoulder. Pritam asked the child what he was doing there, to which the child replied that he worked there and received money to attend to orders and wash dishes. In the midst of all this, Pritam’s eye caught sight of a ten-year-old girl, who was washing the dirty utensils pretty near to him. Pritam asked the child who the girl was, the boy said that she was his elder sister Shreya. The boy’s name was Siddharth, the boy told that his sister and both of them had been working on that dhaba for the last three years.
