Translation Exercise - 46

This is a tale set in the Australian city of Sydney, where there were two hotels of Indian origin. Both the hotels were famous all over the country for very luxurious and outstanding hospitality. There was hardly anyone in that city who did not know about these two hotels. The owners of both these hotels were excellent friends, and both were always ready to help each other. Many times it happened that if one needed financial help, the other helped him without any hesitation. What happened once was that despite everything being normal, in a hotel called Delight the number of customers started decreasing.  A few months passed, Sohan, the owner of Delight, thought that perhaps people were reducing the intake of outside food by being health conscious. Sohan asked Vivek, his friend and the owner of another hotel fantasy, whether his hotel had also seen a fall in the number of customers visiting in the last few months? On this Vivek said that his business was going well, in fact, he said that for the past few months, more customers have started visiting. Sohan got even more upset after hearing this, wondering what was causing such a decline in business and customers. A man working at Sohan’s hotel was a little clever, he thought to create a rift between the two. He tried to provoke Sohan by saying that Vivek was diverting Sohan’s customers towards himself. For this reason, Sohan’s business was stagnant and Vivek was making brilliant progress. Sohan believed this to be true but he was not ready to believe that such a good friend like Vivek could do this to him. He tried to find out, he wanted to make sure that whether Vivek was doing this or that his staff was misleading him.
