One of the best cricketers in the world, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born on 24 April 1973 in the city of Bombay. Sachin’s father named him after his favourite musician, Sachin Dev Burman. Sachin’s elder brother took him to Ramakant Achrekar; Ramakant Achrekar was considered a very famous coach. It is said that when Sachin batted in front of Achrekar for the first time, he did not perform well, seeing Sachin’s poor performance, Achrekar refused to teach Sachin cricket.
