Sometimes I used to feed (fetch) green vegetables to the cow, sugar to the ant, bread to the crow, milk to the cat, meat to the dogs, etc. People would often ask, “Why do you do this?” They would say, “Any work done in the desire of fruit is of no use.” I never argued but always believed, “Even if I did for the sake of virtue (for the will of the fruit), at least I did it. I’m better than those who did nothing.”
