आज English Speaking Course Day 33 में Would के सभी प्रयोग सीखते हैं।

Would – करता

वो मेरे साथ खेलता पर आपने मुझे इजाज़त नहीं दी।
He would play with me but you didn’t allow me.

काश मैं उससे बात करता।
I wish I would talk to him.

आज मैं ऑफिस जाता पर मेरी तबियत ठीक नहीं है।
Today, I would go to the office but I’m unwell.

अगर मेरे पास पैसे होते, तो मैं आपकी मदद करता।
If I had money, I would help you.

वो मुझे पैसे क्यों देता, मैं तो एक गरीब आदमी हूँ!
Why would he give me money, I’m a poor guy!

वो ऐसा क्यों करता?
Why would he do so?

Would – करता था

उन दिनों मैं 5 बजे उठता था। फिर मैं अपने दोस्त के साथ जिम जाता था। हम बहुत मज़े करते थे।
Those days, I would wake up at 5. Then, I would go to the gym with my friend. We would enjoy it a lot.

वो मुझे बिना किसी कारण के डाँटती थी।
She would scold me for no reason.

मैं रोज़ उससे मिलता था और फिर हम साथ में स्कूल जाते थे।
I would meet him every day and then we would go to school together.

• ऊपर दिये गये वाक्यों में would की जगह used to का प्रयोग भी कर सकते हैं, ये बात Tense के Lesson में आप पहले ही सीख चुके हैं।

Would – गा, गे, गी
{Present} – Request {निवेदन}

क्या आप कृपया शांत रहेंगे?
Would you please be/keep quiet?
{Quiet – क्वायट}

क्या आप कृपया मेरी मदद करेंगे?
Would you please help me?

Would – गा, गे, गी
{Present} – Offer/Proposal {प्रस्ताव}

क्या आप मेरे साथ लॉन्ग ड्राइव पर जाना चाहेंगे?
Would you like to go on a long drive with me?

क्या आप ब्लॉगिंग के ज़रिए पैसा कमाना चाहेंगे?
Would you like to earn money through blogging?

Would – गा, गे, गी
{Present} – Want {चाहना}

मैं आज आपसे मिलना चाहूँगा।
I would like to meet you today.

वो और अधिक पैसा कमाना चाहेगा ताकि वो अपने लिए एक नई स्कूटी खरीद सके।
He would like to earn more money so that he could buy a new scooty for himself.

 Would – गा, गे, गी
{PAST} – बीते कल में भविष्य की बात

उसने कहा कि वह बाजार से कुछ खरीदेगी।
She said that she would buy something from the market.

मैं जानता था कि वो यहाँ नहीं आएगा।
I already had an idea that he wouldn’t come here.

Would be / Would have been – होता

वो आज एक डांसर होता।
He would be a dancer today. /
I would have been a dancer today.

वो इस वक्त अमेरिका में होता।
He would be in America right now. /
He would have been in America right now.

• लेकिन ध्यान रहे, इस तरह के वाक्यों में “होता” के लिए Conditional Type 2 Sentences में Would be का प्रयोग होता है, जबकि Conditional Type 3 Sentences में Would have been का प्रयोग होता है| आगे चलकर आप जब Conditional Sentences Lesson पढ़ेंगे, तभी बेहतर समझ पायेंगे।

काश मैं आपका दोस्त होता।
I wish I would be your friend.

काश मैं इस वक्त घर पर होता।
I wish I would be at home right now.

• ऊपर दिये गये काश वाले वाक्यों में “होता” के लिए सिर्फ Would be का प्रयोग किया करिए।

Would be – होता था

मैंने जब भी उसे कॉल किया, वो घर पर होता था।
Whenever I called him, he would be at home.

हम उन दिनों साथ होते थे।
We would be together those days.

वो हर समय राहुल के साथ होता था।
He would be with Rahul all the time.

Would have been – हो चुका होता

ये काम अब तक हो चुका होता लेकिन आपने जानबूझकर देरी की।
This work would have been completed by now but you delayed it intentionally.

अगर उसने आपकी बात सुनी होती, तो अब तक अमीर हो चुका होता।
If he had listened to you, he would have been rich by now.

Would be + V1 + ing – कर रहा होगा / होता
Would have been + V1 + ing – किसी समय से कर रहा होगा/होता {Present में}

राहुल इस वक्त सो रहा होगा। {Present}
Rahul would be sleeping right now.

राहुल सुबह से सो रहा होगा। {Past to Present}
Rahul would have been sleeping since morning.

राहुल २ घंटे से सो रहा होगा। {Past to Present}
Rahul would have been sleeping since morning.

वो बच्चे सुबह से पढ़ रहे होंगे। {Past to Present}
Those kids would have been studying since morning.

वो सुबह से खेल रहा होता, अगर मैंने उसे नहीं डाँटा होता। {Conditional Type 3 Sentence}
He would have been playing since morning, if I hadn’t scolded him.

काश वो भी स्कूल आ रहा होता।
I wish he would also be coming to school.

काश वो दो साल से स्कूल आ रहा होता।
I wish he would have been coming to school for two years.

• Few more Examples to sharpen your understanding:

आज वो उस कम्पनी में काम कर रहा होता। {Present}
He would be working in that company today.

काश मैं उसे इंग्लिश सिखा रहा होता। {Present}
I wish I would be teaching him English.

धोनी इस वक्त खेल रहा होगा। {Present}
Dhoni would be playing right now.

क्या वह इन दिनों ऑफिस जा रहा होगा? मुझे ऐसा नहीं लगता। {Present}
Would he be going to the office these days? I don’t think so.

अगर उसने उस दिन वो घर ले लिया होता, तो वो मुम्बई में आज 10 साल से रह रहा होता।
If he had purchased that house that day, he would have been living in Mumbai for 10 years today.

Would have / Would have had – पास होता

मेरे पास भी लैपटॉप होता, पर मैंने अपने सारे पैसे उड़ा दिये।
I would have a laptop too but I wasted all my money.
I would have had a laptop too but I wasted all my money.

काश मेरे पार कार होती।
I wish I would have a car. /
I wish I would have had a car. /
I wish I had a car.

मेरे पास ये सब होता, पर मैंने उस दिन बहुत बड़ी गलती की।
I would also have all this, but I made a huge mistake that day. /

अगर आपने मुझे एक मौका दिया होता, तो आज मेरे पास कई फिल्में होतीं।
If you had given me a chance, I would have many films today. /

 Would have – कर चुका होगा / होता
{Past में}

वो अब तक खेल चुका होगा। {Past}
He would have played by now.

बस सुबह निकल चुकी होगी। {Past}
The bus would have left in the morning.

वो अब तक काम खत्म कर चुकी होगी। {Past}
She would have completed/finished the work by now.

मैं आपको कॉल कर चुका होता लेकिन मैं भूल गया। {Past}
I would have called you but I forgot.

रवि अब तक निकल गया होता लेकिन मैंने उसे निवेदन किया कि वो थोड़ा और इन्तज़ार करे। {Past}
Ravi would have left by now but I requested him to wait for a little more.

• Few more Examples to sharpen your understanding:

अगर मैंने ड्राइवर से रिक्वेस्ट न की होती, तो बस अब तक निकल चुकी होती।
If I hadn’t requested the driver, the bus would have left by now.

मुझसे गलती हो गयी होती! भगवान का शुक्र है, मैंने आखिर में एक सही फैसला लिया।
I would have made a mistake! Thank God, I finally made the right decision.

धोनी इस वक्त तक खेल चुका होगा।
Dhoni would have played by now.

Would have to / Would have had to – करना पड़ता / करना पड़ जाता

अगर आपने मेरी मदद न की होती, तो मुझे आज ऑफिस जाना पड़ जाता।
If you had not helped me, I would have to go to the office today./
If you had not helped me, I would have had to go to the office today.

शुक्र है, सरकार ने पॉलिसी बदल दी, वरना ये सारा माल आज ही बेचना पड़ जाता।
Thank God, the government changed the policy; otherwise I would have to sell all the material today itself./

• ऊपर दिये गये वाक्य में “otherwise” की जगह पर “or else” का प्रयोग भी कर सकते हैं।

Would have to – करना पड़ता होगा {Present}
Would have had to – करना पड़ा होगा {Past}

आजकल, आपको रोज़ स्कूल जाना पड़ता होगा। {Present}
These days, you would have to go to school every day.

पिछले साल, आपको रोज़ स्कूल जाना पड़ा होगा। {Past}
Last year, you would have had to go to school every day.

उसे रोज़ Rs.500/- खर्च करने पड़ते होंगे। {Present}
He would have to spend Rs. 500/- every day.

आपको कल फाईन भरना पड़ा होगा। {Past}
You would have had to pay the fine yesterday.

Would she be going to school these days?

मुझे यकीन है कि वह हार के बारे में नहीं सोच
रहा होगा।
I am sure he wouldn’t be thinking
about the defeat.

उसने कहा कि वो हम सबकी मदद करेगा।
He said that he would help all of us.

मुझे संदेह बिल्कुल नहीं था कि तुम जीतोगे।
I had no doubt at all that you would win.

मुझे मालूम नहीं था कि वह जीतेगा।
I didn’t know that he would win.

मैं सुबह 4 बजे उठता था जब मैं एक बच्चा था।
I used to (would) wake up at 4 in the morning when I was a kid.

मैंने कभी सोचा तक नहीं कि वह इतना स्वार्थी होगा।
I never even thought that he would be such a selfish.

क्या आप चाहेंगे कि मैं आऊँ?
Would you like me to come?

क्या आप नहीं चाहेंगे कि मैं आऊँ?
Would you not like me to come?

क्या आप चाहेंगे कि मैं न आऊँ?
Would you like me not to come?

वो 4 घंटे से पढ़ रही होती।
She would have been studying for 4 hours.

वो दिल्ली से निकल चुका होता।
He would have left Delhi.

मैं इस वक्त तक घर पहुँच चुका होता।
I would have reached home by this time.

मेरे पास भी ईनाम होता पर दुर्भाग्य से नहीं है।
I would have had an award too but unfortunately I don’t have.

मैं इस वक्त स्कूल में होता।
I would be in school right now.

काश मैं उसके साथ रह रहा होता।
I wish I would be staying with him.

काश मैं बॉक्सर बन गया होता।
I wish I would have become a doctor.

वो इस वक्त मुझे कहीं से देख रहा होगा।
He would be watching me from somewhere right now.

 हमारे पास पैसे नहीं होते थे, पर हम कभी
हिम्मत नहीं हारते थे।
We wouldn’t have money; but, we
would never lose courage.

क्या वह इन दिनों जिम जा रही होगी?
Would she be going to the gym these days?

वो अब तक निकल चुकी होगी।
She would have left by now.

आपको रोज़ उसे फोन करना पड़ता होगा।
You would have to call him every day.

उसे ये न चाहकर भी करना पड़ा होगा।
He would have had to do it unwillingly.

जब भी मैं उसे कॉल करता था, वो प्यार से बात करता था।

बचपन में हम किसी की नहीं सुनते थे।

वहाँ हर व्यक्ति को रूल्स मानने पड़ते होंगे।
There, every person would have to follow the rules.
